The Yoruba people (Yoruba: Ìran Yorùbá) are an ethnic group that inhabits western Africa, mainly the countries of Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Senegal, The Gambia and Brazil (as a cultural language in RDJ (state) and Salvador, Bahia. For the purpose of this write up we shall be focusing on Yorubas who are predominantly from South-West of Nigeria.
